newsletter olympian

I’ve been watching a ton of the Olympics over the past few weeks.

Track and field especially.

Part of the reason why is a Netflix documentary called “Sprint.”

It came out a few weeks before the Olympics started.

It’s made by the same people behind the F1 documentary, which I love, and follows a handful of top 100 meter and 200 meter sprinters throughout the 2023 season.

One of them is a guy named Noah Lyles.

At the time, he was a dominant 200 meter runner looking to become the next Usain Bolt by completing the “sprint double”...

Aka winning gold in the 100 meter and 200 meter races.

Everyone thought he was crazy…

Because very few people have ever been able to do it.

And Noah is quite the talker.

During the show, he talks about wanting to transcend sprinting and become a global icon.

And he was happy to tell anyone who would listen that he was going to hit the double.

Odds be damned.

And guess what?

He actually pulled it off.

He won 100m and 200m gold at the World Championships in 2023.

Then did it again in 2024 in the U.S. Olympic trials.

Now, fast forward to this year’s Olympics:

Despite being the underdog to a Jamaican sprinter named Kishane Thompson…

He won gold in the 100 meter by 0.005 seconds.

In case you’re wondering…

This is what the finish line looked like:

FYI - Noah is 3rd closest to the camera in the blue shorts and red top

Crazy, right?

Close AF.

Unfortunately, he got covid shortly after… which cut short his chances to complete the double.

(although he ran in the 200 meter final anyway and still managed to get bronze lol)

Now, why am I telling you this?

Because it reveals the importance of saying your big, hairy, audacious goals out loud.

No matter how crazy they are.

You have to ask before you can receive.

I’ve found this to be true time and time again in my career…

Such as:

- Having my first $100,000 year
- Writing my first winning sales letter
- Getting my first 10,000 subscribers
- Launching my first digital product
- Hitting my first $25,000 month
- Writing my first 7-figure Facebook ad
- Collecting my first royalty check
- Etc etc

Each one of those goals was written down long before it became reality.

Despite the path to each one being unclear to me when I wrote them down.

And when it comes to your newsletter business…

I urge you to do the same.

Write down exactly what your goal is and say it out loud.

Regardless of how outlandish it may seem right now.

For example:

If you want your newsletter to pay you $10,000 a month, write it down.

This is the first step towards making it come true.

Something else that can help:

Modeling successful publishers who are where you want to be.

As Tony Robbins says:

“Success leaves clues.”

Which is where my forthcoming newsletter swipe file comes in.

You see, over the last two years, I’ve been quietly building a newsletter-specific swipe file inspired by 6- and 7-figure publishers…

Filled with high-quality assets for every step of your newsletter funnel.

It’s designed to help you model success…

So you can reach your newsletter goals much faster.

And I’m planning to make it available for a limited time next week.

If you’re interested…

Start by writing down exactly what your goal is.

Then stay tuned for more details on the swipe file sale next week.
